Similar to the Unity Sand or Unity Candle rituals, the blending and binding of bouquets can symbolize the joining of families and provide opportunity to involve others in your ceremony.
A member of each of your respective families can present a bouquet of flowers which can then be combined and tied together with a ribbon. The bouquets can be presented by a parent, grandparent, a child, or some other loved one who has significance in your lives. The flowers can be held by those individuals as they are bound together or can be passed to the two of you for binding. The larger, combined bouquet can then be displayed prominently during your reception or later dried out and displayed in your home.
